FAST ROAD LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIALS
At 3J Driveline we understand that not everyone is looking to extract 100% from their performance car. We know that some customers are just looking for a little extra traction from their vehicle and so a plate type differential unit isn't really right for them.
As such we developed our own torque biasing differential to give our customers complete choice when it comes to choosing what limited slip differential to fit in their car.
Our innovative gearset and pack design delivers more grip than ever produced by any helical differential. Up to 20% more in some cases.
Keep an eye out for new applications as we release them over the coming months.

NEW FOR 2025 UL-TRAC HELICAL GEAR BIAS LSD EXCLUSIVELY PRODUCED FOR SVS TO SUIT NISSAN R32,33 & 34 SKYLINE & R35 GTR
With over seventy years of combined motorsport engineering experience, the team at 3J Driveline together with sister company Longford Gear Cutting Co. Ltd, continues to push the boundaries of performance drivetrain design. This reputation for excellence has made 3J the go-to choice for top-tier companies across the UK and beyond, who trust our components for delivering high-performance transmission upgrades.
The brand-new UL-Trac Helical Gear-Bias Limited Slip Differential is a result of this dedication. Designed and manufactured in-house by 3J Driveline & Longford, the UL-Trac unit was developed in close collaboration with renowned Japanese vehicle tuners Special Vehicle Services (SVS). Our partnership focused on producing a front differential upgrade for the iconic Nissan R32, R33, and R34 models, as well as the modern R35 GT-R.
With SVS’s extensive knowledge of the Nissan platform and 3J’s proven engineering expertise, we developed what we believe to be the ultimate torque-biasing differential for these applications.
The UL-Trac LSD for the above fitments is available for purchase directly from Special Vehicle Services.
What is the Ul-Trac Helical Gear-Bias LSD?
Ultimate traction, ultimate performance, ultimate versatility - the UL-Trac Helical Gear-Bias LSD unit is the next generation of NXG! It benefits from long term development on important areas like the gear design and tooth profiles, enable maximum surface contact and in turn fully harness the power that requires delivering. This means the UL-Trac can generate the ultimate traction from any torque biasing gear pack: aided by heavy duty springs to reduce wear and maintain pre-load.
The torque-biasing principle uses internal worm gears to progressively transfer drive from one side of the car to the other if there is a loss in traction at one wheel. It does this almost without feeling through the steering wheel - especially beneficial on front wheel drive cars, or all wheel drive cars at the front. Anyone who has driven a front wheel drive car with a clutch plate, or viscous diff, will understand just what a difference the torque biasing design makes. Not only to the feel and comfort but also to the track times, or just pure handling improvement that it delivers over a stock 'open' differential.
